TheatreWorks at Frogbridge!
Ahh, opening night. The bright lights, the big stage, and the crowds on hand to see what everyone in camp is talking about!
Each summer, another talented group of budding stars will take the
stage, hoping to exceed even the highest of expectations, and provide
for our Frogbridge family, a show unlike any other.
It all starts well before our camp season begins, as our TheatreWorks
Team, including our Director, Assistants and Choreographer decide on
this summer's performance. Once chosen, countless hours are spent
creating just the right show. Lines are re-written, scenes are planned
and the stage crew begins building our props and backdrops.
The
task of finding which campers will be joining our TheatreWorks team is
easy. Sign-ups take place prior to the first day of camp (a permission
form with all the details is included among our parents forms and
parent guide on this website), and include anyone interested in being a
part of the show. The only criteria is being here for the
week of the show. 4,6 and 8 week campers are welcome to join, as long
as week 8 is part of your stay here with us, because that's when the
big show takes place!
Once camp officially begins,
it's all business. Hard work, dedication and teamwork are necessary
ingredients for a great show. Our young actors and actresses will work
feverishly throughout their summer camp days, learning their lines and
choreographing the finest dance steps known to camping. Auditions take
place almost immediately, throughout the first week of camp, and
casting for each part is often the hardest part of the summer. We have
soo many talented campers, that we sometimes find ourselves creating
additional roles and even extending some scenes!
So, does any of this sound like fun to you? Do you think you may have
what it takes to be a part of our next performance? Well if you do, or
even if you would like to be a part of our stage crew, or take on a
smaller role just to get your feet wet, don't forget to sign up in the
