Camps Within A Camp

Frogbridge Day Camp, because of its uniquely designed 86 acres, is able to offer "camps within a camp". There are nine separate programs, each one specifically designed for a particular age range. Each camp is led by its own Division Leader who takes special care to provide safe, educational and entertaining activities all summer long.

TADPOLE VILLAGE: Pre-K & K campers

Tadpole Village, our outstanding, age appropriate division set aside specifically for our youngest campers entering pre-k and kindergarten (3 - 5 years of age), is a special division where children are nurtured, encouraged, and safeguarded. Under constant and careful supervision, all campers in Tadpole Village are led by experienced, licensed, adult teachers, adult assistants and collegiate aides. Here, our youngest campers make the most of our camp facilities as well as their very own, age appropriate facilities which include a separate pool for instructional and recreational swim periods, air-conditioned activity rooms, enclosed outdoor playgrounds, fields and pony rides. A mini week program (Tues., Wed., and Thurs. - full day) is also available for 3, 4 and 5 year old campers.

INTERMEDIATE CAMP: First Grade Campers

Frogbridge Intermediate Camp is our division for those campers entering the first grade (6-years old), and is the bridge between Tadpole Village and Junior Camp. Under constant and careful supervision of experienced and licensed adult teachers and experienced collegiate assistants, our Intermediate Campers are encouraged to participate in a wide range of cultural, sport and craft activities. The limited number of campers in each group allows the teachers to give much needed individualized attention to each camper. A mini week program (Tues., Wed., and Thurs. - full day) is also available for 6 year old campers.

JUNIOR CAMP: Second and Third Grade Campers

Frogbridge Junior Camp is our division for children entering the second and third grades (ages 7-8) and it encourages the unique interests of each camper. All Junior Camp groups are led by experienced, licensed adult teachers and experienced assistants. While all campers participate in team sports and performing arts, Junior campers going into 2nd and 3rd grade also choose "Club" (elective) choice activities each week. The campers are guided and encouraged to expand their imaginations and increase their knowledge through athletics, nature, and art.

MIDDLE CAMP: Fourth and Fifth Grade Campers

Middle Camp is the division here at Frogbridge that is set aside for campers entering the fourth and fifth grades (ages 9-10). All Middle Camp groups are led by experienced collegiate counselors and experienced assistants. Every activity in Middle camp is tailor-made to nurture the emerging maturity evident in this age group. Middle campers have the ability to select several "Club" (elective) choices each week. The campers are guided and encouraged to expand their imaginations and increase their knowledge through athletics, nature and art.

SENIOR CAMP: Sixth and Seventh Grade Campers

For campers entering the sixth and seventh grades (ages 11-12), Frogbridge has created Senior Camp, a program designed to meet the complex and diverse needs of the maturing camper. Beyond participating in weekly special events and traditional events such as Color War and others, Senior campers have more "Club" (elective) choices than any other campers, as well as "Group" choice activities. This flexibility gives Senior campers the ability to customize their schedule to meet the interests of each individual, thus doing more of what they want to do, when they want to do it. 7th graders may also choose to join our "Getaway Day Travel Program" where campers receive a Six Flags Combination Season Pass on the first day of camp and leave the camp grounds once each week for a fun filled outing with lunch included.

"SCORE" TRAVEL: Eigth Grade Campers

This Travel Program is offered to those campers entering the 8th grade whose interests expand well beyond the everyday camp experience. While still participating in weekly special events and on-site activities, S.C.O.R.E. campers also attend three exciting day-trips each week. Included in this program are Combination Season Passes to Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor. Passes are given at the park on your child's first trip to Six Flags. Frogbridge Day Camp reserves the right to accept or deny entry into this program based on past assessments or current interviews with new campers. At Frogbridge we understand that as children grow, so do their needs and interests. 8th grade travel campers will each receive a combination pass to Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor, with lunch and drink included. In addition, among the 3 weekly off-site trips, they will travel to amazing destinations such as:

LIT PROGRAM: Ninth Grade Campers

As campers grow, so do their interests. Teenagers typically begin to consider alternative programs as the camp season draws near. Here at Frogbridge, we offer two distinct options to our 9th grade campers. One of these options is our L.I.T. (Leader In Training) Program. Once a camper becomes an L.I.T. he/she will work with different team members throughout the day, developing a sense of responsibility while learning the essence of caring for others through hands on involvement. All L.I.T.'s will be placed in two different age groups to learn more about working with children of various ages. L.I.T.'s will assist their teachers or counselors for five periods each day, which will be followed by a group swim period, and three activity periods. L.I.T.'s will also attend one weekly off-site trip to exciting destinations similar to those listed below.

All current L.I.T.'s are assessed each summer, and acceptance into our 10th grade C.I.T. Program is predicated on those assessments. Frogbridge Day Camp reserves the right to accept or deny entry into these programs based on past assessments or current interviews with new campers. Once a camper successfully completes our C.I.T. Program, he/she will be given a Frogbridge Day Camp C.I.T. Diploma, as well as the opportunity to interview for a position at our camp for the following summer! CIT PROGRAM: Tenth Grade Campers

As campers grow, so do their interests. Teenagers typically begin to consider alternative programs as the camp season draws near. Here at Frogbridge, we offer two distinct options to our 10th grade campers. One of these options is our C.I.T. (Counselor In Training) Program.Once a camper becomes a CIT, he/she will work with different Staff Members throughout the day, developing a sense of responsibility and learning the essence of caring for others through observation and hands on involvement. CIT's will be placed in two different age groups throughout the summer in order to understand the diversity and complexity of working with children of various ages. All CIT's will assist their teachers or counselors for 6 periods every day, followed by a swim period and two activity periods. CIT's also attend one weekly off-site trip and will participate in the CIT Annual Luncheon at the conclusion of the summer. Lastly, all CIT's are invited to join their peers on a two day, one night overnight trip where they will have time to reflect on their summer and socialize with other campers their age. All current CIT's are assessed each summer, and acceptance as a memeber of our camp staff is predicated on those assessments. Frogbridge Day Camp reserves the right to accept or deny entry into these programs based on past assessments or current interviews with new campers. If a camper successfully completes the CIT Program they are given a Frogbridge CIT diploma as well as the opportunity to interview for a position at our camp for next summer!
